Tea Time
Another week and another day spent on the Colombia. The weather gave us a little taste of everything today. Wind. No wind. Sun, rain, clouds. Cold. Hot. Lather, rinse, repeat.

After getting under way I had time to sit on deck and enjoy a cup of tea as we slowly made our way up river. Though I am delighting in my weekly sail with the crew of Aquila I am very hungry for so much more. I don’t quite know how yet, but I’ve got to get increase my time on the water by an order of magnitude. My soul commands it. I have so much to learn in order to close the gap between the sailor I am, and the sailor I want to be.

I am optimistic though. On our sail today I met two new people who are going to help me gain more knowledge and experience. I have also decided to part with the money and join the Willamette Sailing Club. Finally, in early 2013 I will be moving back to Hawaii. I am excited about another go-round in the land of my 20’s. This time with a solid goal, and a little wiser for the miles I’ve accumulated since I left Honolulu 2008 in utter financial defeat. Paradise ain’t cheap kids! Until then, life is good. The sailing is beautiful and everything is possible.
